This tire is made to haul real weight mile after mile. The Westlake ST235/80R16 Radial Trailer Tire delivers a 10-ply rating with a maximum load of 3,520 lbs at 80 psi. Its radial construction uses double steel belts and double polyester plies topped by a nylon overlay to hold up under highway heat and long-distance towing. Rated for up to 75 mph, it meets DOT and FMVSS specs so you can stay on the move with confidence.
Heat and tread wear are the enemies of trailer tires, especially on long hauls. The cords in this radial tire run at a 90-degree angle across the width of the tire, preventing friction between plies when it flexes. That layout reduces rolling resistance and heat buildup while improving tread life and tracking at higher speeds. You get steadier handling and cooler running on hot pavement or extended drives.
Durability starts inside this tire. Two layers of steel belts stabilize the tread while double polyester plies reinforce the carcass for dependable strength. 1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

It’s a good well made tire with a good price. It is the same tire that came on my Grand Design 303RLS had to get new tire due screw through sidewall.
I have this tire on my spare, which I unfortunately needed last week, and looks great! I've purchased 2 more to replace the spare and another tire on my camper that is wearing. I hope they last longer than the initial tires.

I can't say much about the tire until I put some miles on it. I think NM Hway 285 south of Carlsbad is what spelled doom for the one I'm replacing so we shall see.

I really don’t have a review on product since I just received it today and have yet to mount, but as far as etrailer goes it was fast shipping. I hope to have better luck with this tire than the west lake tire that blew out on me.

Had a blow out with Westlake E rated tires on my 5th wheel. Replaced all 6 with G rated tire. No problems since Replaced.
These are the tires that came on the Cimarron gooseneck horse trailer that I ordered from the factory. They perform well and are durable. One of them got a puncture in the tread close to the sidewall and couldn't be plugged so I ordered a new tire to replace it and match the others still on my trailer.
Last trip out with my fifth wheel, ran over a piece of metal in the road causing tire to go flat, luckily it happened right by entrance to the campground. Was able to air it up enough to get to my site without damaging rim. Put my spare on for my return trip to home but damage to my tire was too close to side wall to repair so I ordered west lake ST235/80R 16 from etrailer which is exactly the match that came on trailer. Tire came on time and perfect match to existing tire. I have had my fiver for 3 1/2 years and the west lakes seem to be holding up fine in regards to the wear. Price from etrailer was lower than any other place I checked and manufacture date stamped on tire was recent so I got a new tire instead of one that had been sitting in a wharehouse for awhile. This is the 2nd tire I have purchased from etrailer and completely satisfied with both purchases. First purchase was same tire with wheel so I had an extra spare for long trips just in case. Would recommend etrailer for prices and expert technical assistance. Happy camping.

This tire is OEM for what comes on a Columbus 5th wheel. It is not the cheap Chinese bomb that many RVer's talk about although it is made in China. I ruined my tire on a curb (rookie mistake) and wanted to match the original OEM. My 5th wheel has been in service since 2017 and these tires are doing very well. Arrived two days after I placed my order. etrailer.com to the rescue! I ordered the wheel and tire at the same time and only etrailer.com had what I needed online. Thank you etrailer!!!
